What Happens During a Treatment?

Your appointment lasts approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes, giving plenty of time for a full consultation, treatment and aftercare advice.

A small, sterile, single-use speculum is gently inserted into the rectum. Warm, filtered water is then introduced into the colon to help soften and encourage the natural elimination of waste.

Claire stays with you throughout the entire treatment, ensuring you feel comfortable, relaxed and fully supported.

Despite common misconceptions, most clients are pleasantly surprised by how gentle, dignified and comfortable the treatment is.

Hi, I'm Claire Louise Rayner – welcome to The Pootique, Beverley!

I'm a proud mum of six amazing children and have dedicated my career to helping people improve their health, confidence and quality of life.

I qualified as a Registered General Nurse (RGN) from Leeds University in 2004 and have spent 25 years working in healthcare. My passion has always been caring for people, listening without judgement and helping them feel their very best.

In 2016, I qualified with a Distinction from the National College of Colon Hydrotherapy (NCCH), allowing me to combine my nursing knowledge with natural digestive health. Since then, I've successfully run a thriving colon hydrotherapy clinic for over 10 years, helping thousands of clients improve their digestive health and overall wellbeing.

The Pootique is an exciting new chapter. It's a beautiful new clinic in a fantastic location, but with the same trusted care, the same friendly face and the same passion for helping people.

Alongside my clinical work, I also do work as a Drug and Alcohol Peer Support Worker, supporting people through some of the most challenging times in their lives. This experience has strengthened my belief that everyone deserves compassion, understanding and personalised care.

Outside of my clinic, I'm honoured to serve as part of the ministry team at St Mary's Church, where I support the Vintage Years groups. Spending time with older members of our community is something I genuinely treasure, and it reflects my passion for caring for people at every stage of life with kindness, respect and compassion.

I know that booking your first colon hydrotherapy appointment can feel a little daunting. That's why I pride myself on creating a calm, welcoming and discreet environment where you'll feel relaxed from the moment you walk through the door.
